Jerry, the king of the Glazers! lolDonn Beach wrote: ↑Fri Feb 27, 2026 3:03 amGlazing is showering with excessive praiseGL_Storm wrote: ↑Thu Feb 26, 2026 5:57 pmI haven't seen the word "glazing" used in this context before. I assume it's Gen-Z speak for "arguing for" or "rooting for", something like that. Or maybe the idea is that the "glaze" means to look at a thing in the most positive way possible, kind of like how people would use filters on their instagram pics to make themselves look better.
Anyway, I just find it interesting how the language evolves over time.

Re: Colt: ROI PPI or an extra year of control
Everyone acted like Colt putting on a hitting display for the ages yesterday. He really should have been 0-3.
His single was a routine ball up the middle that hit off the pitchers leg. His triple was a routing fly ball that the CF took the worst route I have ever seen in my life..

On the other hand.... Dipoto is a talkative sob, it's one of his endearing qualities. It's more fun having him talk than shutting up isn't it? Gives us stuff to talk aboutD-train wrote: ↑Fri Feb 27, 2026 2:25 pmHere is an idea. He can keep his fucking yapper shut for once instead of backing himself into a corner by not being able to resist every chance he can get to hype up his #1 prospect who has played 40 games above A ball. How about just let the kid play a pressure free ST without everyone telling how good he is and then make a decision when he needs to about a week before OD.Coeurd’Alene J wrote: ↑Fri Feb 27, 2026 2:49 amWhat’s Jerry supposed to say. I remember this kid named Kelenic who started believing all that hype and it didn't work out so well.

Sure but he could have talked him up to the heavens without saying he has a chance to be on the OD roster.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Fri Feb 27, 2026 2:53 pmOn the other hand.... "We really love Colt's makeup and as his progression through 3 levels last season can attest we are being very aggressive with his development. We are really looking forward to this season in terms his continued development and feel there is a possibility he might be able to help the big league club at some point in 2026."
Instead now half the fanbase are clamoring for him to be the OD starting SS and JP being moved to 2B. It is lunacy.

I'm just saying we can't cherry pick, he loves to run his mouth. He shouldn't have brought up the 54% crap either. But look how much fun that turned into. Remember Z would talk but it never amounted to anything. I got so I wouldn't bother with an interview of his. There was never anything interesting
Re: Colt: ROI PPI or an extra year of control
Hollander just said Colt could make the OD Roster. Donovan needs at least 2B or 3B so that would me Cole in AAA. JP is expected back in the lineup next week so unless he injuries shoulder again he will be at SS OD.

Yeah it be a competition between Young and Emerson. By saying Emerson could make the OD roster he's saying he could beat out Young. That's what Donovan is there for. To put one of them in AAA.

Yep. Some on X have said Donovan can play in the OF but we already have 4 RFers and Randy in going to be in LF 90% of the time.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Fri Feb 27, 2026 7:10 pmYeah it be a competition between Young and Emerson. But like I was saying, at some point during the season you have to expect Emerson, Young and Donovan to all be on the roster. They are going to have to find playing time for Donovan in the outfield. If it's opening day then it's opening day. It's Canzone and Raley that lose playing time. Canzone dhs, Raley sitsD-train wrote: ↑Fri Feb 27, 2026 8:38 pmYep. If Colt crushes it in spring training, then he forces his way on the team. However, if he does not crush it, he goes down and stays down all year. You all aren't considering the almost for certain lockout coming. If Colt stays off the 25 then he can play in minors next year. Bringing him up now makes it, that he is sitting on his ass like everyone else. Unless, he will be superior starting on day 1, keep him playing and developing.
