Drayer on the draft:

I saw this. I've got a piece that I'm gonna post this weekend along with my final Top 10 and who I think the M's will select at 6 all the way through our competitive B balance pick. I'm super excited. We are going to get a really good player at 6.

This draft kind of feels like if you were drafting 10-16, that you'd probably be getting players in the top 10 most years.
Due to the lack of baseball, the draft seems more exciting that it usually is. That kid Bitsko looks like a TOR starter.....but I still say Veen for us.
Oh I hear you Bil. I've been "IN" on Veen since back in March. I actually hope that we draft him. I'm crossing my fingers that we will. I just don't know how much faith I have in our front office to pull the trigger on him. If it was up to me I'd take Veen, Hancock, Abel, Bitsko, or Meyer. I have all ranked fairly closely the same. So I wouldn't be mad at any of these selections. After that it'd be Gonzales, Detmers, Bailey, and Kjerstad.

I was asking Bil
Haha! I was like uhhh...didn't we clear this up this morning? I literally just woke up from graveyards 2 minutes before, so I thought maybe I had dreamt it. Lmao 🤦‍♂️
 All good brother. I was in your world on Monday and Tuesday at Cambridge Hospital so I can relate a bit. First time since I was 4 years old.
You ok?

I guess Jeff showed us we need some form of Life-Alert system for the forum, hope you're good dt!

I hope everything is alright. It sucks going to the hospital, I get it. That's quite a leap from 4 years old.

Its weird seeing all the hype building around the baseball draft suddenly. I mean I get it. We're less than a week away, and yet all of a sudden everyone now is an expert. I've been reading at the 710 ESPN site, good gawd 😳 they're hilarious. And the LL Landing, who I can't stand goes out and hires Joe E. Doyle, whom I highly respect to post his thoughts all over they're garbage site. Just say "NO" Joe.

I am good now. Thanks. I had some AFIB related respiratory issues due to procrastinating about going to the Dr. because of the virus. Couldn't sleep all night Sunday because every time I would nod off my sleep state breathing wasn't getting me enough oxygen so I would wake up. I went to Urgent care and they sent me to the ED. Thought I would be there a couple hours max but had to talk my Dr. into letting me go home 35 hours later.

Yeah don't sleep on that. My uncle wanted to wait until he hit retirement to see the Dr. He had a stroke 3 months before he hit 65 and laid in his own urine for 3 days, before he finally woke out of it and passed away 3 days later in the hospital. Regular check ups are no joke. I'm glad you're ok.

Me too, Darren, and I'm sure every one of your Mariners brothers agree. Stay safe and well, dt, we need you with us.

Thanks you brother. Much Appreciated.

So get this, I basically was completely sedentary on a hospital bed for almost two full days and yesterday I woke up with grievous knee pain like I had run a marathon and stopped once a mile to take a blow to the knee with a baseball bat. Insanity.

Like brother AT says, "gettin old ain't for sissies".....

So sorry to hear this. I know about being old, my mother used to say what AT said to you, and I thought sure, sure, but I didn't really understand. Now I do, last week I had four drs. appointments. Good God, my mother and AT were right after all! All this is to say knee pain that intense is no fun, take care of yourself, dude.

I don't know how localized the pain is, but one thing to have handy in your freezer is a paper cup filled about 2/3 full of water. When you get the pain, peel the paper of to just the top of the ice and then use it to give yourself an ice massage. When you are done stick it back in the freezer for next time. The paper allows you to grip the ice without freezing your hand.It works way better than a bag of ice around the knee cap. I have had my basketball players do this for years and it really helps.

Get better soon, my friend.

What’s worked for me (if the water in the freezer doesn’t do it) is a bottle of Chopin in the freezer. One pony glass with a twist of black pepper, and a clove of garlic. The Polish cure for everything. 8-)

Get better, and ‘health up’, Darren, with love from an isolated, and somehow more pleasant West Seattle.
