Bumpus on arroyo

It’s just the movement. It’s just the new-age tight end that we’re seeing, like the (Colston) Loveland type that’s a complete route runner. Tight ends weren’t really route runners (in the past), they were just space occupiers. Like, get to that space and I’ll throw you the football because you’re a big target

Barner is a blocker, he's a different look than Fant or arroyo. Arroyo looks to me as Fant replacement more than a guy you would pair with him

Bumpus again, supposedly kubiak likes to use two even three TEs at a time, maybe you do pair them, gonna be interesting

“When they started bringing in 5-11, 195(-pound) slot (receivers), I knew my time was probably going to be short here unless I beat that guy out,” Bumpus said of his own NFL experience. “They bring in a guy that has your profile, you’re in direct competition with him. I’m not saying (Fant) is out, but they brought in a tight end that plays the game that you play.”

I was shocked how good Barner was as a pass catcher especially his YAC.

I like Zabel and Emmanwori, but they could have done more to address WR and D line by trading back for an extra 3rd round pick. Could have had a pick in the 28-34 range along with 50, 52, 82, 92, and another earlier 3rd rounder. Too many needs left unaddressed.

Dude - just stop. This is a solid class. You don't draft nine starters in one draft. It doesn't matter what they do, you are going to hand wring and lament. THIS IS THE TEAM, this is the draft. Get on board and look at the potential. Stop 'what ifing" all the time. This team won ten games last year and just added at least three starters and a killer QB option and the next Kam. The glass is half full, dude. This team is well positioned. Most think it is one of THE top classes - and you're complaining. Think about that.

I think in the long view this could be a good draft if they really are adding two good starters, a contributor at TE and potential starter or decent backup QB. But they are probably going to take a step back this year because the WR group is weak and they have no depth at ILB and CB, and still don't have a true nose tackle which was a staple of Macdonald's D in Baltimore. If they can shore up those things next year they'll be in decent shape. As it stands, this is a 7 or 8 win team.

I lived in that town for a year. It's a nice little town. The public transit takes you to the ski resort. Nestled right in there on the Columbia. Nice spot.

We are just sitting here waiting to leave on May 6th. Have finished everything. Filled up a Pods storage container with a mountain of stuff. Five trips to Goodwill, a moving sale and filled up the trailer with everything we need. 9 more days of sitting around just waiting. Can't wait to get out of this house.

We will definitely be on the road until Late June going from Moorpark and hour north of LA up the CA and OR coast into WA.
