I take it his wife sued for divorce shortly after the incident. I feel badly for their kids given the public airing of the whole thing.57reasons wrote: ↑Fri Jun 20, 2025 5:00 amwas that Mitchie the kid? Yeah, sad turn of events there. too bad for us fans as well, as i thought he was head & shoulders above his local contemporaries, the incomparable Hugh Breedlove Millen aside. That was one of his memorable quotes about "the household name" - probably not his original but i for one hadnt heard it before.Sibelius Hindemith wrote: ↑Sun Jun 22, 2025 4:16 amI take it his wife sued for divorce shortly after the incident. Re: OTA thread 5 things to watch
I don't really enjoy listening to Hugh Millen talk. He likes to throw in football jargon that most people are unfamiliar with in order to impress the listener with his great intellect. If he was interested in helping the majority of his audience that never played the game understand what he's talking about he would describe it using normal language. But then it might become apparent that his insights aren't so brilliant and irrefutable which could threaten his huge ego.
Re: OTA thread 5 things to watch
ok, you wanna believe his ego is fragile enough that he has to resort to that, your prerogative i guess. i dont see it - i constantly hear him trying to put it in layman's language that i can understand; e.g., explaining what the X receiver is vs. the Y, or what 11 or 12 personnel means (number of backs and tight ends). He's one of the very few i've heard that can bridge that gap to me and provide some actual meaningul analysis beyond what i can observe from casual viewing, and the fact that he's local and does that for both of my favorite teams (Hawks and Huskies) makes me care even less about his internal motivation.Sibelius Hindemith wrote: ↑Sun Jun 22, 2025 4:10 pmI don't really enjoy listening to Hugh Millen talk. He's an awkward person. Borderline stutterer . I don't agree with his opinions all the time. butSibelius Hindemith wrote: ↑Sun Jun 22, 2025 4:10 pmI don't really enjoy listening to Hugh Millen talk. the guy does watch film and I don't. I'm a 710 guy, but I do tune into Millen occasionally when I'm butt hurt about
something and want to hear what someone who's watching film is seeing.

The self-importance is so over the top. It becomes clear that it's more about him than what he's talking about. I've heard numerous other former players explain things perfectly well without throwing in all the lingo. I generally just stop listening with Millen when he goes into one of his breathless elucidations because i couldn't give less of a fuck what the terminology from the early 1990s Patriots for some mundane defensive alignment is.

But can they actually run the ball
"Seattle quietly possesses one of the NFL’s deepest running back rooms," Dalton Wasserman wrote. "That unit includes Kenneth Walker III, Zach Charbonnet, Kenny McIntosh and seventh-round rookie Damien Martinez. Walker tied for fourth in the NFL with a 91.3 PFF rushing grade last season, though he appeared in only 11 games. Charbonnet also placed among the top 20 with his 78.8 PFF rushing grade. Martinez could be an interesting addition to the unit after ranking third in the FBS with a 94.4 PFF rushing grade at Miami last season."

Remember when he proposed a bet with Sue Bird that if she lost, he would give her a spanking???57reasons wrote: ↑Sun Jun 22, 2025 5:08 amYeah, sad turn of events there. too bad for us fans as well, as i thought he was head & shoulders above his local contemporaries, the incomparable Hugh Breedlove Millen aside.
